| My work references an amalgam of emotion and cognition, often taking form as vivid mental images glimpsed while awake during the night, or through study of my sketchbooks and written journals. These images reflect personal history, relationships with people and the greater world, witnessed places and events, and ongoing social and political issues. Certain themes appear repeatedly in my notes, communicating concern about our environment, the passage of time, and respect for individual self-determination and dignity. |
